Painting In Oils With A Palette Knife
UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO AN ACCIDENT, I AM UNABLE TO FACILITATE WORKSHOPS FOR THE REST OF 2019.
Four new workshops dates are confirmed for 2020 – details below.
I have over 15 years of experience giving art workshops and teaching. I love to pass on my knowledge of painting. Passionate about teaching, I encourage my students to experience the joy that painting can bring.
In all of my painting workshops, you will enjoy the fun, relaxed atmosphere, with lots of one-on-one time with me and plenty of demonstrations and hands-on help.
The price of the art workshop is €135.
All materials are supplied (including canvas and oil paints)
Refreshments and lunch in the Watermill Restaurant are included
No experience is necessary to attend a workshop
Each student leaves with a finished painting and has a great day out.
Workshops are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Loft Room, Skerries Mills. No need to bring anything as everything is provided. Just wear old clothes or an apron to protect your clothes. Workshops are restricted to 12 people, so book early.

Would highly recommend Karen’s one day workshop for those looking for a uniquely enjoyable day out exploring your creative side, whether new or old to art. Myself and my mother-in-law thoroughly enjoyed learning to paint daisies with a pallet knife, singing along to epic tunes in a warm and welcoming environment. It was fun seeing each person’s unique painting at the end of the class. Karen provided excellent tuition, very patient, with hands-on step by step instructions, in her beautiful studio in Skerries Mills. The studio itself is wonderful to explore with her fabulous artwork and distinctive style paintings.
If you love painting or want to give it a go I would highly recommend Karen’s class. I attended a one-day seascape workshop working with a palette knife. It was my first time using oils – Karen managed different levels of ability and everyone left with a beautiful painting. Such a relaxed day and a really lovely lunch as well. I’ll be back again
Highly recommend Karen’s class. Attended a one day workshop working with a palette knife. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Everyone produced a beautiful finished painting at the end of the day. Great fun atmosphere in class very relaxed and no pressure. Karen is very encouraging and helpful. I’ll be back!
