Green Friday emerged as an anti-Black Friday movement in 2015, aiming to raise awareness about the negative impacts of society’s shopping habits. It counters the “shop-till-you-drop” mentality of Black Friday, encouraging mindful and sustainable purchasing decisions.

But Green Friday in Ireland is more about shopping local and from small businesses.

Either way it is a chance to grab a bargain and tick a few items off the Christmas list.
